No provider matches those filters. Try widening them.
Most VPN comparison sites are advertising with a table attached. Here is exactly what we do instead, in enough detail that you can reproduce it.
We look for a named auditor with a date, and for documented cases where a provider was legally compelled to produce data. A promise in a privacy policy is the weakest form of evidence there is.
Every provider advertises a price that only exists if you commit for two years. We show the total you pay, the monthly equivalent, and what happens when it renews.
Prices change constantly. Every price on this site carries the date it was last verified, and we re-check the whole list on a fixed cycle.
Jurisdiction decides who can order a VPN company to hand over records. We say which country each provider sits in and whether it is inside 5, 9 or 14 Eyes.
Providers whose clients you can read on GitHub are flagged separately from those asking you to trust them.
Commission rates never enter the scoring. If a provider paid us more we still score them the same way, and we say so on the methodology page.
Pick a situation and we will point you at the provider that wins it.
Twelve task-specific guides — streaming, Netflix, gaming, torrenting, privacy, travel, phones, desktops and routers — each with published weights and a top three.
Plain answers to the questions people ask before they subscribe — no jargon, and no claim we cannot show you the source for.
No. Commission rates have no weight in any of our five scoring components, and nobody here can accept payment in exchange for a rank, a badge or a score. The weights are published in full on our methodology page and never change to suit a provider.
Partly, and we are precise about which parts. We research the provider's own documentation, audit reports and terms, and we assess network architecture directly. We have not run our own throughput benchmarks, so we do not publish invented speed numbers — our speed score is a disclosed architectural estimate instead.
Because a privacy policy is the weakest form of evidence. We grade what is verifiable: the named auditor and the date of their report, whether servers are RAM-only, which country the provider is registered in, and whether they have ever been legally compelled to produce data and failed.
The servers boot from a read-only image and never write to a disk. Everything in memory is wiped on every restart, including one caused by a physical seizure. It means logs cannot be retained even if the provider wanted to retain them, which is a stronger guarantee than a policy asking you to trust them.
Filter by what you need, compare every figure we publish, and open any row to read why a provider scored the way it did.
