Who runs this site, and why
We are an independent editorial comparison service publishing in English and Swedish. We are not affiliated with any VPN provider we review. We are paid by some of them. Both of those sentences are true at once and you should hold us to both.
What this site is
We test, research and compare commercial VPN services. We earn money when you buy one through our links. That is the entire business model — there is no subscription, no premium tier and nothing for sale.
We publish in English and Swedish because the same consumer questions deserve the same answers in both languages, and because most of the largest comparison sites publish in English only.
Our editorial rules
We do not accept payment for a review or a position
No provider can buy a slot in our table, a badge, a score or a place at the top. Where a provider offers commercial terms attached to editorial outcomes, we decline.
Every factual claim is dated and sourced
Server counts, audit names and prices all carry the date we last verified them. Where a provider does not publish something, we write 'not published' instead of estimating.
We disclose what we received
If a provider gives us a free subscription to test, that is compensation and it is disclosed on the review.
We correct publicly
Errors are fixed in place and dated. We do not quietly delete a claim we got wrong.
Affiliate disclosure
Many links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and buy, the provider may pay us a commission. In some cases it costs you nothing extra; in a small number of cases a provider offers a discount code that is only available through affiliates, in which case using our link may give you a better price.
Commissions vary by provider, plan and term, and they change. We do not control which providers we cover or in what order they appear. That decision is made on the criteria published on our methodology page, and the weights there are fixed.
Under Swedish and EU rules, every affiliate link is labelled 'Ad' or 'Annons' next to the link itself, and every page containing affiliate links carries a disclosure bar at the top. If you find a commercial link that is not labelled, please tell us and we will fix it.
Contact and corrections
We read everything. If a price is wrong, a review is unfair, or a provider has changed something material, we want to hear about it. Include the page URL and, where relevant, a screenshot.
