AdGuard VPN review
Cyprus jurisdiction outside the Eyes alliances, an open-source protocol, and ad blocking bundled into the VPN — with no published no-logs audit yet.
What we like
- Cyprus jurisdiction outside the 5/9/14-Eyes alliances, with a published transparency report
- TrustTunnel protocol code published in January 2026 for anyone to inspect
- Two years for 71.76 USD with 10 devices and ad blocking included
- Free tier with 3 GB per month for trying before paying
- Ad and tracker blocking plus personal DNS bundled with the subscription
What we don't
- No published no-logs audit, so the logging claim rests on policy alone
- TrustTunnel only — no OpenVPN or WireGuard for routers and manual setups
- Streaming results are mixed across independent tests
- Monthly plan is non-refundable; the 30-day guarantee covers 1-year and 2-year terms
Our verdict
AdGuard VPN is a fair budget choice rather than a privacy leader. The price is genuinely low on the two-year term, the Cyprus jurisdiction is clean, and the bundled ad blocking is useful — but the no-logs claim has no independent audit behind it, and the apps cannot be read the way Proton VPN's or Mullvad's can. If audit evidence is what you are buying, buy that; if you want a cheap tunnel with extras, this is reasonable value.

Score breakdown
The weighted total, and what each component contributed. Weights are published and identical across all eleven providers.
Why we scored it this way
No published no-logs audit holds the privacy score down, despite Cyprus jurisdiction outside the Eyes alliances and a published transparency report. The TrustTunnel protocol code was published in January 2026, but the consumer apps are closed and the server fleet is not stated to be RAM-only. Price sits near NordVPN's two-year term at 71.76 USD for 10 devices. Speed and streaming are editorial estimates, not our own benchmarks.
Privacy and logging
No independent audit has been published that we could find. We summarise the provider's own policy documents instead, and say so wherever the claim matters.

AdGuard VPN questions
How much does AdGuard VPN cost?
The cheapest plan we list works out at $2.99 per month for 2 years, which is $71.76 in total. That figure can change at any time — we last verified it on the date shown above — and it is the effective cost of the whole subscription rather than a headline monthly rate. You get 30 days to change your mind.
Can AdGuard VPN really be trusted not to log my data?
No independent audit of AdGuard VPN has been published that we could find, so there is no external check on the logging claim. RAM-only servers: No. Intelligence alliance membership: Outside. Real-world legal test: not published. The privacy score reflects that gap: a policy promise without verification scores below verified ones, and affiliate commission had no influence on any component of it.
Why does AdGuard VPN score what it scores?
AdGuard VPN scores 8.4 out of 10, which places it number 8 of the eleven we review, under the badge 'Built-in ad blocking'. The score is a weighted sum of privacy, speed, value, streaming and ease of use, with the weights published in full on our methodology page. Affiliate commission had no influence on any component of it.
